Job description

Requirements analysis and detailed design of Electric Drives Control Unit
Responsible for design and development of electric machine drive and power electronics control algorithms including:
  • Electric machine drive torque control, current regulation, and PWM methods 
  • Electric machine drive algorithm and software development and specification development
  • Electric machine drive control system development in Matlab/Simulink and Validation in MIL / SIL / HIL testing 
  • Support control algorithm and calibration development during vehicle testing

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Strong experience in Control of Electric Drive systems including motor control algorithms (V/Hz, Vector Control, Direct Torque Control, etc )
  • Good understanding of Classical Control systems, power electronics, electric machines, power systems.
  • Control Software development & testing using MATLAB Simulink TargetLink. With a good knowhow of Model Based Development & Verification processes
  • Knowledge of Hybrid / Pure Electric Vehicle architecture with automotive/locomotive domain experience
