Principal Product Architect – Financial Inclusion Solutions

Position Summary
The platform for Financial Inclusion aims to simplify banking services by making it accessible
and intuitive for consumers and efficient for bankers. As the product architect the you will lead the
definition of the technical specifications and features of the solution. You will collaborate with the
product owners and customer discovery teams to engage prospective and active customers. You will
coordinate the efforts to understand the key customer pain points, business drivers, regulations and
technology challenges and lead the solution design to eliminate these challenges.
As the product architect you will apply your deep understanding of the customer domain and
technology skills to define the most optimal technical solution that is compliant and above all delights
the customer.
You will lay down a clear vision and technology roadmap for the financial inclusion platform with a focus on the role of technology in transforming the consumer impact, business outcomes, scale, cost and compliance levels.
You will lead the implementation of the solution and work closely with Sales & GTM teams ensuring a shared vision for the future and drive the prioritization of the implementation roadmap based on customer inputs and market drivers.
You will foster a collaborative ecosystem for technology and innovation through technical and funding partnerships with like-minded entrepreneurs, companies, universities, research groups, open source communities and peer organizations.
As the product architect you will be the chief thought leader and primary owner of the ClearEye financial inclusion platform technology and double as the chief mentor and talent scout, bringing energetic diverse talent to your team to drive game changing solutions.
The Principal Product Architect must be a self-starter who demonstrates leadership in communications, program and partnership development, and team management. Multi-tasking with proven ability to manage competing priorities, follow procedures, and meet deadlines is required. The Senior Managing
Director manages their team to have an impact on customer acquisition, product quality, overall
strategy and thought leadership.
As the technology leader for a global team you must be comfortable working effectively across different work styles and cultures. You must be a strong communicator and bridge builder working closely with an ecosystem of partners including channel partners, external product and services vendors, open source communities, user groups, academic community and research organizations.
Accountability
Reports Directly To: Chief Product Officer
Works Directly With: President ; CSO, VP Client Services, Product Owners, Chief Architect and GTM teams.
Responsibility: Supervises a matrixed team of consultants, researchers, advisors and clear eye product team members working on specific financial inclusion initiatives.
Knowledge and Experience
M.S./ M.Sc. or equivalent or above in a relevant technical field is required.
7+ years of experience in the banking, lending, mortgages, insurance or related private sector
industry is required. Prior experience working with or leading fintech’s will be a definite plus
3+ years scoping and architecting solutions that apply evolutionary architecture principles and
enterprise patterns.
3+ years of experience implementing projects with knowledge of NodeJS, Typescript, Python,
.NET and other web technologies
3+ years of management and supervisory experience with exposure to working on matrixed
teams and in non-hierarchical settings and working with geographically distributed teams of
diverse backgrounds.
Experience integrating using Restful APIs and SDKs (notably, FIS, Temenos, Finestra, Encompass,
NetOxygen and other Banking Platforms)
Function as a subject matter expert for the Banking Platform SDKs and APIs including the ability
to design and implement solutions that extend and enhance their core capabilities.
Experience working with Full Stack Development, Functional Programming Languages, XML,
SOAP, REST, JSON, SQL, .NET, Java, JavaScript
Experience in third-party and back-office integrations with a sound understanding of Entperprise
Integration Patterns, Protocols and Best Practices.
Ability to translate technical instructions or concepts into non-technical easy to understand
terms
Experience in the design and implementation of financial services for the Millennials and other
digitally savvy users.
Ability to analyze impact of external global trends on a range of financial service areas.
Exceptionally strong verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills are
required. An active social media presence with publications including whitepapers or blogs
would be definite plus.

Travel: The position requires travel as you are expected to spend time with customers and our
engineering teams.
