An eCommerce startup founded by veterans in the retails space, the brand caters to modern Indian women by developing, designing and retailing contemporary jewelry through a mobile platform, to meet the modern requirements of the new Indian woman. The startup combines technology and fast changing weekly fashion trends to deliver exclusive jewelry to its customers.- The company follows an order-based inventory model. They have both web and mobile presence and a very intuitive user experience

Job Function: The Head of Engineering will be responsible for overseeing web/mobile development, quality assurance testing and system development/engineering.

As a technological leader, he/she will be responsible for maintaining and raising engineering and operational standards by mentoring and reviewing the work of the team. He/she will also recruit and nurture top talent as part of a high-performance organization while maintaining responsibility for the overall implementation/delivery of the E-Commerce technology platform according to business requirements.

Deliverable:



-  Develop the product strategy for the eCommerce platform on desktop, mobile, and tablet

-  Lead the development, establishment, enforcement & architectural standards for new applications, products

-  Apply established metrics to determine readiness, quality & operability of software, systems & products due for release

-  Hire, train, develop and retain a high performing software engineering team to manage eCommerce / mobile applications

-  Oversee all web development and mobile application

-  Work closely with engineers and IT to architect and develop the best technical designs for reliability and scalability

-  Hands-on leadership of software development managers and engineers along with supporting operations functions within an Agile/Scrum environment

-  Provide expertise and direction for the web/mobile development team to ensure that all project deliverables are clear and aligned with business objectives/timelines

-  Ensure optimal processes are in place to support software development and support activities within E-Commerce environment

-  Ensure metrics are in place to monitor and measure software development projects, support & maintain ongoing activities

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications: -  Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a similar discipline

-  Must have 12+ years of strategic E-Commerce management experience with specific focus on the development, implementation and maintenance of E-Commerce technologies and web/mobile/cloud based applications

-  12+ years-  experience building and managing development teams that design and deliver large distributed systems - preferably in agile development, object-oriented systems realm with high availability

-  Must have expert knowledge of Java based technologies and frameworks;

-  Must be technically credible to lead teams of top class software engineers (magneto/frontend/backend/ fullstack /QA) and be able to make the right design decisions and technology choices.

-  Knowledge of cms/drupal

-  Experience in leading enterprise-level E-Commerce and web technology projects successfully

-  Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to influence key stakeholders.

Budget: 50-55 LPA
